Kai is a retired digital security & privacy professional with interests in human rights and open source software. She has been personally transacting in bitcoin since 2016, and now operates on a bitcoin standard. 

As a widowed single mother of two, she understands first hand the peace of mind that comes with having a plan for a smooth transition of ownership of digital assets to one's successors. 

Kai’s last fiat role was with a global bitcoin exchange where she provided guidance on self custody for customers purchasing bitcoin for their Self Managed Super Fund (SMSF).

Kai's prior professional life included over two decades of senior management in government: policy, legislation & regulation making. She gained subject matter expertise in co-existing, competing and conflicting property rights. 

As an accomplished poker player, Kai has acquired advanced skills in observation, executing exploits, game theory and risk based decision making in competitive environments.
